Koko Takeuchi Design offers creative floral works for events, businesses, and homes in New York City. Our style could be described as “East meets West” and is informed by the Japanese sensibility to subtle beauty and visual balance. We enjoy a creative challenge and are always motivated to go the extra mile in order to provide exceptional work.

We bring to the field of floral design an ability to conceptualize and to visually render our clients’ personality or desire for any specific mood. We enjoy collaborating with other creative minds, and are experienced in managing client expectations, teams, vendors, budgets, and schedules.

Our services include:

  • Event design — table centerpieces, large & tall arrangements, bud vases/cocktail arrangements, garlands, candles, and linens. Custom graphic design such as invitations, menus and signs is also available.

  • Floral installations

  • One time/Weekly/monthly delivery of floral arrangements

  • Wedding bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages/flower crowns


ABOUT KOKO TAKEUCHI

Koko Takeuchi has been working as a floral/event designer at prestige floral design studios in New York City since 2014. Most recently, she worked at Ovando where she designed events for clients such as Armani, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Salesforce and Major Foods as well as many beautiful weddings.

With a career history in graphic/branding design, Koko is a concept-driven thinker and expertly coordinates sophisticated visual elements in a wholistic approach. She worked as a creative/art director and graphic designer for two decades in various design fields such as retail/consumer products, food, fashion, film, music, transportation, financial and publishing — thus gaining a wide perspective and deep understanding for various clients’ needs.

A native of Japan, Koko has been living in the USA since her mid-teens. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Washington. A student of Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), she is also a ceramicist and often combines her floral work with her own ceramic pieces.
